‘Our first tour was with Corilea Benson and we have been on several more with her since. Not only did we make lifelong friends but, we really enjoyed having all the sights pointed out and described. Being farmers, we liked learning about different farming methods and the crops we saw. Having our luggage handled was a bonus and breakfast included daily meant we never felt rushed in the morning. We appreciated not having to constantly be out-of-pocket to stay busy. We were well entertained with the attractions included in the tour’.

‘I have been very fortunate to travel with Corilea Benson on a number of occasions where she was both the planner and guide of the bus tour. Her many years of tour planning experience along with her sincere passion for travel were reflected in all aspects of the trips she arranged. Accommodations selected were all clean, comfortable and convenient to dining. The attractions, sightseeing, meals and other inclusions were all planned with an eye to the utmost in traveller experience and well-being. Corilea worked hard to ensure that all of her passengers felt welcomed, informed and entertained onboard the coach. I found that even though she had been to some places a number of times, each and every destination was approached with the same enthusiasm and wonder. Great organization was a key to my enjoyment of the tours. Each day was planned with a good balance of travel time, rest stops, excursions and opportunities for shopping (a big plus for myself). The pandemic caused a disruption in many areas of our lives, including our ability to travel. I am really looking forward to renewing my love of touring by being a passenger on one of Corben Tours’ bus trips. Memorable journeys await’.

‘We have travelled by tour bus for many years and have never had any concerns. We always had great rooms, interesting sites to explore and friendly companions. We love travelling with Corilea. She is always organized and willing to look up extra information on request. Accommodations were always top notch. Restaurants varied throughout the trip giving awesome selections for meals. Corilea is great at choosing attractions which one would probably have missed if travelling on their own. Places like Hells Gate, BC, fishing boats to go whale watching and catching crabs in Oregon, Chez Marie - a quaint restaurant in Quebec. Always a great adventure travelling with Corilea and looking forward to many more’.

‘Come aboard Corilea’s bus…she is well prepared…she has ascertained her passengers’ interests (farming, stock markets, quilts, etc). We catch up on today’s current events, the expected weather and plans for the day. On the road, she announces points of interest along the way, visits with each passenger and conducts contests and games. Morning and afternoon coffee breaks are pre-booked. Sometimes the town may have too small a restaurant or none at all, so she may have arranged for a local service club to serve pie and a beverage! So, we meet the locals and support their cause. Prior to each stop-off, she has acquainted us with their geography, history and economy. Early on, we realize her respect for all people and their setting/culture and her expectation that we do likewise. At day’s end, she readies us for tomorrow—wake-up call, time for breakfast and appropriate attire for the weather and activities. Accommodations are excellent, and if a problem, she will inform the management with dignity and positivity. Her trips exhibit her love of travel and people. I give Corilea a 5 * rating’.

‘We have travelled several times over the years with Corilea on bus trips. We were always impressed with the professional way that she handles the tour. We stayed at great hotels and ate at good restaurants. One time in Savannah, Georgia there was an older man that went to the wrong intersection to meet the bus. Corilea and the bus driver went above and beyond to make sure they found him. No one is ever left behind on a tour’.

‘Based on my experiences on 6 motorcoach tours directed by Corilea Benson, she is very well-organized and informs tour passengers about the attractions and sights featured, or the city being passed through, on the appropriate day. Corilea’s itineraries have been very well planned to include the area’s major attractions and those of the tour’s destination. Admission fees are included for featured attractions and performances. Each tour offers some free time built in for extra rest, independent sight-seeing, or meeting up with friends living in an area on the tour’s route, etc. Corilea offers a variety of activities to fill the travel hours, for those interested, and there are mid-morning and mid-afternoon rest breaks, as well as a longer lunch break. Tour services include handling of 1 large piece of luggage, passengers change motorcoach seating positions daily to allow better mixing of passengers and to give more passengers the opportunity to sit right up front for the best visibility. The driving day generally ends before the evening meal. Corilea provides info on restaurants nearby when the meal, whether lunch or dinner, isn’t part of the tour inclusions. Accommodations are always clean, comfortable, spacious, and include a number of extras. They’re at least a step above accommodations I generally stay in when I’m travelling independently of a tour. The tours include breakfast daily at the lodging, as well as some lunches, and a farewell dinner’.
